About

Join characters from the past for historical hijinks and hands-on shenanigans at Eltham Palace this half-term.

Half Term History Makers at the English Heritage site in Greenwich will see how justice was meted out by our medieval ancestors through inviting the audience to take part in a mock trial. Will the selected jury members be able to deliver verdicts on the sorry rabble of villains accused of crimes by the local Sheriff? Or will the accused attempt to plead their innocence at the dreaded trial by ordeal?

And there’s lots more to see and do. Visitors can wrap up and enjoy 19 acres of award-winning gardens and a palace steeped in centuries of history, from medieval kings to eccentric 20th century millionaires. It provides the perfect way to blow away those winter cobwebs and treat the family to some outdoor fun this February Half Term.
