About
A great place for anyone who wants to make new friends, learn new skills or have a relaxing place to bring children.
Visit the Community Garden at Royal Museum Greenwich's collection and conservation centre in Kidbrooke. No matter how green your fingers are, come and discover where our food comes from, how it is grown and how it got to Britain. The community garden has been designed as a space for the local community to escape and reflect.
The garden doors are open for everyone to muck in.
The aim of the community garden is not only to create a visually beautiful space with fresh produce to share, but is an opportunity to learn about our heritage through the garden. We want to use the garden as an opportunity to discover how certain plants and vegetation grow but also learn about where they came from and how did they get to Britain.
The garden volunteer team are looking for people of all ages and abilities to join them. They will have a series of tasks and activities for anyone to come and do. Whether you are a budding Danny Clarke, Charlie Dimmock, Monty Don or a total beginner, your knowledge, and enthusiasm will be welcome in the Garden!
