Get ready for a night of laughs and learning on this special comedy guided tour of The Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre

About

Come behind the scenes of The Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre to see London’s hottest art-themed comedy night.

Art Laughs will be taking over Royal Museums Greenwich's storage and conservation facility for a comedy bonanza!

Join comedians, art critics and artist/poets for a comedy guided tour through some of Royal Museums Greenwich's weird and wonderful objects within the nation’s largest maritime collection.

Alongside a chucklesome tour lead by the host Verity Babbs, visual artist and poet Joel Sydenham will be running a blackout poetry workshop with a bit of a twist. Unlike traditional blackout poetry workshops that often focus on serious themes, this session is designed to infuse humour into the creative process. Participants will engage in an interactive and laughter-filled exploration of language, turning ordinary texts into comedic masterpieces through the art of blackout poetry.

Enjoy improvised comedy in the paintings store – inspired by the nautical works in the collection and your suggestions – from three of the UK's best improvisers: Dom O'Keefe, Monica Gaga and Fuaad Coovadia.

End the night with art historian and critic Verity Babbs and comedians Dom O'Keefe, Monica Gaga and Fuaad Coovadia who will be having a panel discussion delving into the museum's toys collection.
