About

Founded in the early 17th century, Royal Blackheath Golf Club is incredibly proud to be the oldest golf club in England.

The club’s rich and illustrious history began in 1608, when courtiers serving James I of England (who was also James VI of Scotland) at nearby Greenwich Palace began playing the game on the heath. Royal Blackheath continues to celebrate this Scottish heritage today – its ‘Wee Dinners’ are held in the elegant main dining room with haggis, whisky, toasting and often a song or two!

Memberships are available and tee times on the delightful, 18-hole parkland course can be booked online up to four weeks in advance.
