A glorious and affectionate celebration of the festive family theatre

About

A pantomime about pantomimes.

As Professor Baggybottom struggles through his lecture on the history and traditions of pantomime, Simple Simon tries his hardest to help him out, but even the best-laid plans can come unstuck. Soon our hapless presenter and his clueless assistant are drawn into performing the routines and characters we know and love, from the silly song sheet to the slapstick slosh scene & from the Ugly Sisters to King Rat.

A glorious and affectionate celebration of the festive family theatre favorite suitable for all ages, ridiculous, inventive and surprisingly educational…

This is an original piece of family theatre, written by Toby Hulse, produced by Roustabout Theatre and performed by Toby Hulse and Robin Hemmings.

Roustabout makes silly, stirring and inspiring theatre for all ages. Their most recent shows, Luna, The Great Big Story Mix Up and This Island's Mine have toured to theatres, schools, libraries and festivals across the country, entertaining audiences with a unique blend of thought-provoking nonsense.

* This event is part of our Tramshed's Warm Welcome winter season funded by Arts Council England's Culture Recovery Fund. There are lots of festive events for everyone, from cabaret to family theatre, comedy and music.
