Mughal Minatures - An upbeat and fun performance

About

The Princess and the Peacock is a vibrant outdoor performance event for all the family, which celebrates and takes inspiration from the exquisite traditional art of Indian and Persian miniature painting.

An upbeat and fun performance , with performers in sumptuous regal costumes creating vibrant and colourful mini-worlds of dance, music and puppetry. Evoking scenes of Indian princely courts and lush gardens, and the glory of the Mughal period with a contemporary twist. This work undercuts expectations and delighting and surprising passers-by.

See the proud and majestic peacock and the prim and pretty princess roam through the crowds, in Mughal Miniatures: The Princess and the Peacock. Watch out for the cheeky and amorous royal peacock, who is looking for a new mate! Watch them compete for attention from each other and the audience.
