Learn how Turkish henna is mixed and used, and making your own designs. You’ll even leave with a beautiful henna temporary tattoo!

About

In the Ottoman Empire, the traditional Henna night ahead of a wedding was considered a key rite of passage. The ink, used in floral patterning, represented the heavenly soil of Paradise, and was considered lucky. This tradition continues today in Turkish culture.

In this two-hour workshop, instructor Maryam Saleemi is your guide, sharing her expertise on both the history, science, and practice of Henna. Enjoy the process, learning how the ink is mixed and used, and making your own designs on paper. You’ll even leave with a beautiful henna temporary tattoo, painted by your instructor.
