About
Save your May Sundays for five new costumed tours of the House, extraordinary new art installations from our artists-in-residence Fiona Veacock and CraftA with local community groups, a museum display inspired by the theme of food and home, as well as an exhibit of what home means to Greenwich’s locals, in their own voices and words.
The exhibition will also be open for you to discover on selected weekdays during Frilly's opening hours (Wednesdays to Fridays, 9:30am to 3:30pm), including craft sessions with our artists-in-residence and special interpretation tours.
Dates For Your Diary;
Jacobean Sunday - Sunday 1st May, 11:00am – 4:00pm
To open the exhibition, Charlton House is holding a Jacobean fayre. Explore the Living in Greenwich: Meet the Collection exhibition, including new art installations created by local artists Fiona Veacock and CraftA with local community groups, show the kids popular outdoor games from the 17th century, and enjoy musical performances from Rock Choir and a tour of Charlton House’s Jacobean years.
Stay tuned for opening times for The Producers’ Market featuring artisan crafts, and the on-site café Frilly’s Tea Room.
Reminiscence Mornings - Tuesdays, 11:00am – 12:30pm
Free themed reminiscence mornings, each exploring a different aspect of life at home and in the borough.
