Lateral Lens

About

Lateral Lens brings together work by young people who have taken part in a programme of photography and film with eye4change, a charitable organisation committed to engaging, educating and empowering individuals and communities, to express and share their stories in their own unique ways.

By re/viewing their surroundings, while engaged in creative and cultural activity, these young photographers transcend their everyday experience and increase their awareness beyond the surface of things.

In the words of one of the young exhibitors taking part in the project, “I get to see things that I don’t quite see in normal life”.

“The simple process of focusing on things that are normally taken for granted is a powerful source of creativity.” – Edward De Bono
