This summer, pack a picnic and head to Charlton House patio for live outdoor brass concerts on Fridays.

JULY
Friday 8th July - Royal Greenwich Brass Band
On the cusp of their 25th anniversary, Charlton favourite Royal Greenwich Brass Brand returns for our Brass on the Patio series. Today they perform a light suite of marches and melodies, including works by Tchaikovsky and Mozart, and American traditional "Shenandoah."

Friday 15th July - Brass on the Hill
Brass on the Hill are a nine-piece brass band who formed in lockdown. With a wide range of musical influences from jazz and Latin, to funk, hip-hop, and even classical, Brass on the Hill will be presenting an exciting programme of their own compositions alongside some great covers arranged by the band.    

Friday 22nd July - Beyond the Bell
Come on a journey with vibrant brass quartet Beyond the Bell, through the trombone's more than 500 years of history. From the Henry VIII Suite and William Byrd, through Handel's Messiah, to the work of Duke Ellington and Sir Paul McCartney, there's something in this concert for the ages for everyone.

Friday 29th July - Fountain Brass Quintet
A brilliant new young ensemble performing the best of brass quintet repertoire

AUGUST
Friday 5th August - Scots Guards Brass Dectet
With more than 300 years of history as the musical face of the Third Regiment, the Scots Guards' stages have included the Changing of the Guard, the Battle of Ypres, and, now, Charlton House & Gardens. Today's light afternoon programme includes Sherwin's A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and a selection of British marches.

Friday 12th August - Trafalgar Brass
A welcome return visit presenting their new summer programme

Friday 19th August - Regent Brass
Regent Brass, based in Camden, will be showcasing a varied programme including works by Imogen Holst, Florence Price & Dr. Liz Lane.

Friday 26th August - Guards Brass
Guards Brass at the Opera

SEPTEMBER
Friday 2nd September - Regent Hall Band of the Salvation Army
An uplifting programme of great brass band repertoire
