There's loads for families to do at Cutty Sark this May half term!
From craft workshops and play boxes to character actors and trails, there's fun for the whole family on board the iconic tea clipper.

* All activities are free with entry to the ship - check the dates and details below and book your visit online now.

Programme: 

Character Actors (Friday to Monday across half term) 
Time: 11:00am, 12 noon, 2:00pm and 3:00pm
Meet colourful characters from Cutty Sark’s past and hear stories about life at sea.
Come face-to-face with Captain Woodget, chat with the cook, and even take a tour with Nannie the Figurehead! You never know who you might run into on board Cutty Sark...

Craft Workshops 
Wednesday 29th May
Venue: Dry Berth 
Time: 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
Who can sail the fastest? Create your own boats out of a range of materials and compete in the day-long boat race tournament! 
Join in for a playful and engaging sail craft activity! Construct prototype model ships, experiment with the position and number of sails, and get creative with sail decoration. Then, put your engineering skills to the test as you see how fast your creations move on water.

Friday 31st May
Venue: Dry Berth 
Time: 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
Get playful with ship building at Cutty Sark. Design your own watercraft and explore the diverse engineering methods that people around the world use to travel by water!

Sea Shanty Singers

Venue: Tween Deck
Date: 1st and 2nd June 
Performance Time: 11:45am | 12:45am | 1:30pm
Ready for a singalong? Join the resident sea shanty groups as they bring the ship alive by singing traditional working songs.
* Suitable for all ages and abilities

Trails and Play Boxes (Available daily)
Pick up a family trail or backpack from the admissions desk and discover new facts, stories and people in Cutty Sark's life - past, present and future! 

You can also delve into our fun-filled play boxes for families hidden around the ship. From stacking blocks to party-themed props, the play boxes at Cutty Sark provide the perfect opportunity to let your imagination set sail.
