About

Opera Greenwich are thrilled to present a new production of Puccini's La Bohème at St Alfege Church for Puccini 100 Opera Week.

A tale of love, friendship and heartbreak set against the backdrop of 90s Bologna, where poverty is a struggle, but hope offers so much.

Four artists friends flat-sharing and trying their best to support their art while keeping up with the buzz of the city, sounds all too familiar. But when Mimi comes in, it's love at first sight, a love so powerful and yet fragile. It's when everything goes wrong that we are reminded that happiness is but a moment.

Puccini creates with his music a colourful whirlwind of friendship, passions, heartbreak and nostalgia. Regarded by many as one of the greatest operatic works in history, this is not to be missed.
