An evening of exploration into what makes Champagne the world’s most famous celebratory drink, hosted by Luma Monteiro, a Champagne specialist

About

An evening of exploration into what makes Champagne the world’s most famous celebratory drink. Hosted by Luma Monteiro @wineriaofficial, a Champagne specialist with accolades including a Silver Medal in the renowned Champagne Academy, a spot among the top 100 most influential people in drinks in the UK by The Drinks Retailing, and an award from IWSC Emerging Talent in Wine Communication, you’re in great hands. Luma will share stories about the featured houses and more.

The evening kicks off with a welcome glass of a surprise sparkling, followed by a journey through four distinct Champagne houses and styles. We’ll delve into the history, terroir, and the art of discovering your preferred Champagne style. Our featured Champagnes for the evening include:

Gosset Grande Réserve NV
Gosset, the oldest wine house in Champagne, was founded in 1584. The Grande Réserve NV is a signature cuvée, showcasing the house’s expertise in blending and aging. It offers a complex profile with notes of ripe fruits, almonds, and a hint of toast, providing a rich and balanced tasting experience.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé NV
Established in 1818, Billecart-Salmon is renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship and elegant champagnes. The Brut Rosé NV is particularly celebrated for its finesse and delicate bouquet of red fruits, citrus, and floral notes. Its harmonious palate and long, fresh finish make it a favourite among champagne enthusiasts.

Louis Roederer Collection 243 NV
Founded in 1776, Louis Roederer is a prestigious Champagne house known for its exceptional quality and innovation. Collection 243 NV represents a new chapter in their range, blending reserve wines with the current vintage to achieve a perfect balance. It is characterized by its bright acidity, complex aromas of orchard fruits, and a touch of minerality.

Duménil Blanc de Noirs Brut ‘Amour de Cuvée’ NV
Duménil, a respected grower-producer, focuses on creating champagnes that express their unique terroir. The Blanc de Noirs Brut ‘Amour de Cuvée’ NV is made exclusively from black grapes, primarily Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. This champagne is the prestige cuvée of the house and stands out with its bold, fruit-forward character, rich texture, and nuanced spice notes, offering a distinctive and memorable tasting experience.
