About

Opened by the Queen in 1987, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is one of the world’s most advanced automatic train control systems and one of the most exciting ways to get to Greenwich. A driverless train running between the old City of London at Bank via the new business district at Canary Wharf on it's way to Greenwich.

A trip on the DLR is always an event. Travelling quietly and speedily along elevated tracks, you can enjoy the unfolding city vistas of east and south-east London through the trains’ big windows. You can even sit at the front and pretend to drive the train!

The Docklands Light Railwy is one of the newer London networks and so is also fully accessible. All DLR stations have lifts and all the trains have wheelchair and pushchair areas.
