Greenwich Peninsula's Urban Village Fete is back, and it's BIGGER than ever!

About

Get ready to crank up the summer vibes as Urban Village Fete is returning to the Peninsula.

A fun-filled day of creativity and imagination for the whole family!

With a jam-packed programme of music, performances, talks, and workshops, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. You can also grab a bite to eat from our street food traders and enjoy the atmosphere from your picnic blanket.

Legendary DJ Gilles Peterson returns to the Fete for another unforgettable set, this time he’ll be joined by the sonic storyteller, tastemaker, and global broadcaster, Jamz Supernova. Get ready for an epic day of musical magic as these two legends combine their talents to create an experience you won't want to miss!

But that’s not all, dive into exciting workshops, spark your creativity with inspiring conversations, and fuel your day with delicious street food from around the globe.

This year’s line-up includes:

Take a seat at Design District and join ‘Creative Conversations’, a series of discussions with some of London’s most compelling minds, hosted by BBC London’s Robert Elms

The return of The Incredibly Clever Canine Circus, proving that every dog (and their owner!) can learn new tricks

The Charity Shop DJ collective brings their democratic dance vibe down with the People’s Party – where the audience choose the tunes

An unmissable carnival workshop and procession with Kinetika Bloco

This summer’s alternative Olympics, the Allympics promises everyone a chance to get on the podium with events for all from Show Jumping and Relay to Egg and Spoon Race and the less expected, Hurl the Pineapple

The cutting-edge environs of London’s Design District will become the Urban Village Hall offering cool, interactive workshops including the colossal and immersive, Doodle Apartment and Wonky Veg Sculpture competition

Help Greenwich Peninsula come to life throughout the day as an origami model village, with A Line’s Fold Your Town

The Independent Traders Market with baked goods to handmade crafts

Plus: The Bureau of Silly Ideas, Bus King puppet show & puppet-making workshop, Toy Making Workshop, free face-painting, enough international, organic, vegan and downright delicious eats to fill its own festival – and so much more!
