The Shape of Things is a new Design Commission with an exhibition

About

Simone Brewster is the new Design Commission with an exhibition – The Shape of Things.

Simone is a London based artist whose degree in architecture at the Bartlett informs her practice. She creates large scale, statement sculptural furniture, objet d’art and jewellery which are perfect alliance to become NOW Gallery's summer show.

For Simone NOW gallery is a perfect giant vitrine to display works across scales. Her collections explore ‘intimate architectures’ – creating objects and spaces that utilise architectural principals throughout.

In ‘The Shape of Things’ be prepared to take part in her shape analysis. In her exhibition how do circles, triangles and squares work together to create pattern and form.

As part of the African Diaspora, her work marries Western and African visual languages, bridging the gap between these two histories, and the material shapes and forms that are imbued with cultural history and tradition. Mostly come and enjoy beautiful things made with thought and attitude.
