A recital of new works commissioned and performed by Nic Pendlebury, exploring the unique soundworld of Electric Viola with digital manipulation.

his showcase features works that have been created through Nic’s ongoing research at Trinity Laban into the development of music for the electric viola and forms part of a growing repertoire including music by Steve Reich, Terry Riley, John Ashton Thomas, Eliana Echeverry and Hollie Harding.

The three new works by Alex Groves, Colin Riley and Dominic Murcott will be presented by the composers themselves and the event will be followed by a drinks reception.

* Part of the Parallax Series, a showcase for Research staff and student performances at Trinity Laban.
