Come and be inspired by stories of boldness and bravery, drawn from Royal Museums Greenwich’s collections and displays. Take part in creative retreats, featuring performances, talks and workshops, and enjoy curator-led tours of the new exhibition. 

From trailblazers to lifesavers, join in to mark the contributions and resilience of women throughout history.

Creative Retreat: Women Who Dare (8th March) - Book Now

To mark International Women's Day, head to the Queen's House for a day of storytelling, performances, talks and workshops, in collaboration with South Asian art collective, CommonGround&.

Organised by Mehala Ford, founder of CommonGround&, this creative retreat takes inspiration from the life of Zeenat Mahal, the last Empress of the Mughal Empire. Royal Museums Greenwich has recently acquired a miniature of Zeenat, which is now on display in the Queen's House.

The day includes contributions from the women featured in our photographic display, Pioneers: A Renaissance in South Asian Creativity at the National Maritime Museum.

In the 200th anniversary year of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, our new exhibition Women of the RNLI showcases the vital roles women play in saving lives at sea.

Join Laura Boon and Aimee Mook, Lloyd's Register Foundation Senior and Assistant Curators of Contemporary Maritime respectively, for a special guided tour of the show.Featuring striking photography, personal testimony and breathtaking film, Women of the RNLI offers a window into the lives of volunteers across the UK and Ireland.
